AIR helps you prepare your annual review without starting from a blank page. Pop reads back your own year of work and writes a first draft: one answer per review question, each backed by facts it can point to. You then edit it freely — nothing is shared without your approval.
AIR is currently in beta. In companies that have joined the beta, every user can prepare their own review, whenever they want.
Who can access AIR
If your company has activated the AIR beta, AIR is available to all users, not just managers or admins. You do not need to wait for HR or your manager to launch a review campaign.
How to start
From your workspace: open the relation with your manager, then click the AIR — Your year tab.
This takes you to the preparation page, where the process runs in three steps.
Step 1 — Choose your sources
AIR only reads your own traces from the past year — what you wrote, sent or recorded. It never reads other people's data.
Popwork is included by default: your 1:1s, feedback, objectives and commitments over the year.
You can then connect optional sources to give Pop more material to work from:

Each source shows its status on the page — Included by default, Connected, or an alert if access has expired or been revoked, with a Reconnect button. A source that is not connected is simply not used; AIR still works with Popwork alone, just with less material.

Step 2 — Pop writes the first draft
Click Start writing. Pop produces one answer per review question, each supported by facts it cites from your sources.
Writing takes around ten minutes. You can close the page — the draft keeps generating and will be waiting for you when you come back.
You will also receive an email notification when the draft is ready for review.
Step 3 — Review, edit, and decide what to share
The draft is a starting point:
Edit anything you want — rephrase, cut, add what Popwork could not know.
Check the facts it cites; you are the one who knows the context behind them.
Nothing is shared without your approval. Your review stays yours until you decide otherwise.
If you are a manager, the same applies to your team: their reviews reach you only if they choose to share them.
Why prepare your review this way
You walk in prepared. A year of work is already assembled — no scrolling back through months of notes.
The conversation starts from facts. Both sides work from the same factual base instead of relying on what each person happens to remember.
Nothing important gets forgotten. An achievement from ten months ago carries the same weight as last week's.
What to expect during the beta
The structure and wording of the generated draft may change from one release to the next.
The quality of the draft depends on the material available. A year of regular check-ins and 1:1s — and connected sources — produces a much stronger draft than a few scattered entries.
AIR summarises what was recorded. It is a preparation tool for your review conversation, not a performance rating or an evaluation.

Frequently asked questions
Can my manager see my Slack messages or my emails? No. Pop uses those sources only to write your draft. What your manager can eventually see is the review you decide to share — not the underlying messages.
What happens if I do not connect any optional source? AIR runs on your Popwork data alone. Connecting more sources gives Pop more to work from, but none of them is required.
Can I run it again? Yes, you can run AIR several times
