The Dashboard (formerly People Insights) is the analytics home of Popwork. It combines what your teams share in their check-ins and 1:1s with your organisational data, so that HR and leadership can see how the company is doing, month after month, and act on it.
It is no longer in beta: it is available to every company account, with nothing to activate.
Who can access the Dashboard
The Dashboard is available to all users with an Admin status. It is the first entry of the company analytics section of the left menu, and it is the page admins land on when they open Popwork.
Individual managers do not see the Dashboard. They continue to follow their own team through their check-ins, 1:1s, and team indicators (including the Trends tab).
What data the Dashboard uses
The Dashboard brings together three sources:
Popwork data: mood, workload, and the topics that come up most often in check-ins and 1:1s
Your HR data: organisational structure, divisions, departments and teams, synced from your HRIS or filled in by your admins
Usage attributes: team size, check-in frequency and regularity, and other context that helps you read the numbers correctly
Crossing these sources turns raw answers into something you can act on: not just "mood is down", but "mood is down in this division, on teams of this size, where check-ins have become irregular".
Your first dashboard
The first time an admin opens the Dashboard, Popwork creates a default dashboard for the company.
It shows:
mood and workload, with their trend
mood and workload by division (or by team when fewer than two divisions have enough answers to be shown)
areas to watch
adoption and ritual regularity
Until your organisation is filled in, results are broken down by team. A banner invites you to Fill in the organization: once divisions, sites or roles are set, the dashboard breaks down automatically. See Manage your people's traits to add your own breakdowns.
Around the dashboard you will also find the users waiting for a role or a team, and a link to the resources.
Choose the period
The Dashboard opens on the running month, compared with the same days of the previous period. Other periods are one click away, including a Custom… period: pick the first month, then the last (12 months at most).
If the running month does not have enough answers yet to keep them anonymous, the Dashboard shows the last month instead and tells you so.
The summary of the period
Each dashboard can show a written read of the period, generated by AI from aggregated figures only, with no personal data.
It is made of:
Summary of the period: what is going well and what to watch, in a few lines
Points of tension: the themes that come back in the answers, by group
Strengths: the successes mentioned, by group
The words that come back: the feelings picked over the period, most frequent first
These texts are written from aggregated figures and anonymous rewordings: never a quotation, never a name, never a group below the anonymity threshold.
Build your own dashboards
Beyond the default dashboard, admins can create as many dashboards as they need, for example one for the executive committee, one for the CHRO and one per HR business partner.
Click New dashboard (next to the title) and give it a name. To move between dashboards, use Switch dashboard or All dashboards. The Dashboard reopens on the last one you viewed.
Click + Add. Pick from Suggested for your company, or start from a question, such as How are mood and workload doing?, Which groups are doing better, or worse?, Where is it getting worse?, Are the rituals happening?, Who is using Popwork?, What are the teams saying? or Where do the objectives stand?
Preview the widget at real size with your data, choose its place (top, bottom, after another widget; full, half or a third of the width), then click Add to dashboard. You can undo, and add section titles to structure the page.
For the Adoption widget, use Columns to choose what the table shows.
Anonymity and data protection
Results are aggregated, never shown per person.
An anonymity threshold applies: no data is displayed for a group below a minimum number of respondents. The default threshold is 3 and can be customised by your Account Manager. When a group is hidden, the Dashboard says why.
Managers keep access to their own team's conversations in Popwork, as before. The Dashboard does not change what a manager can or cannot see.
Good to know
A change measured on fewer than 10 answers should be read with caution. Some trends need a few months of check-ins before they become meaningful.
