How commitments work in the 1:1 meeting loop

Understand how commitments work before, during and after 1:1meeting check-ins

Updated today

Commitments are uniquely easy to track for team members and managers as they are embedded in the Popwork 1:1 meeting loop.

Commitments are reviewed during the 1:1 meeting preparation

On Popwork, team members are invited to prepare their 1:1 meeting by answering a few questions and reviewing their commitments.

Indeed, the Popwork check-in ( team member preparation phase) includes a Commitments review step.

During this review, team members can update the status of their commitments:

  • To do - grey circle

  • Doing - blue dotted circle

  • Done - green checked circle

Team members can leverage commitments to easily answer questions

When answering the Achievements and Priorities questions, team members can leverage their commitments review.

Popwork shows updated commitments from the review. Team member can insert these commitments in their answer in a single click.

Any answer can be turned into a Commitment

The Popwork AI automatically detects answers that look like potential commitments.

When you see text underlined in blue, simply click it to turn it into a commitment.

Commitments help you follow up on 1:1 meetings

In the workspace, each 1:1 meeting has a Commitments section to help you track or add commitments.

What if I don't want smart Commitments?

If you do not want your team to track commitments during their 1:1 meeting preparation (commitments review & easy to insert commitments in answers), you can decide to turn this option off.

Go to Team Settings > 1:1 meeting > Commitments
