If you’re setting up your objectives for the first time, here’s how to do it:

  • Pick 3 to 5 objectives - more can lead to over-extending yourself and diffusing your efforts

  • Make sure your objectives are aligned with your organization’s goals and priorities

  • Co-build your objectives with your manager - your alignment on your personal contribution is key to your personal and your team’s success

If you don't know where to start, the best way to move forward is to add at least one objective that is clear to you and to schedule a session with your manager to define a set of objectives together.
